The father I wish I had

With the successful launch of the Wadadli Pen Open-Mic in May, the organisers have announced that the topic for June, in honour of all fathers, is ‘The Father I Wish I had’. The Wadadli Pen Open Mic will be held on the second Saturday of each month so June’s activity will take place on Saturday 12th at 7:30PM at Best of Books, Royal Palm Place branch. Participants are reminded that their piece which can be a short story, monologue, poem or other written work should be presented within three minutes. Participants who pre-registered by Tuesday 8th June will receive a complimentary Best of Books membership card to be given to a father of their choice on Father’s Day. Pre-register via email literaryantigua@yahoo.com by sending your name, a four line biography and the title of your work. Although participants are encouraged to present on the topic, other pieces will also be entertained.
