Poetry workshop

I’ve been ‘leading’ a writers group at the Caribbean Literary Salon for about a year and a few months ago opened things up by inviting other denizens to lead workshops on topics determined by other denizens. Currently, Althea Romeo-Mark is leading a poetry workshop with what I’m finding to be an interesting challenge – emphasis on the word CHALLENGE. I’m still struggling with it. If you’re invested in improving your own writing, I think it might be worth you checking out as well; maybe check out some of the older challenges, too. Because here’s what I know to be true, on my journey as a writer, I’m never done learning. And as someone who’s admired Ms. Mark’s poetry, I think I could learn a thing or two from her; so I’ll admit I was looking forward to it.

To participate you have to join the Writers Atelier Group at CLS. Be sure to read the attached lecturs on the Poet as Universal Messenger and Editing your work, first.
