PREVIOUS UPDATE – JASON COLE CHATTING WITH KIDS AND DEMONSTRATING HOW HE CREATES HIS BOOKS
Featured is Jason Cole, a Barbados writer and illustrator (Max and Me, Cricket is My Game) who played to his youthful Antiguan fan base with appearances at the Antigua and Barbuda International Literary Festival
and the Best of Books. At the former, he did magic tricks, to the kids’ delight, and at the latter, he showed the kids how to draw illustrations (as seen).
Jason publishes independently under the banner of his Brightwater Press out of Christ Church Barbados. Here’s a bit more about the engaging children’s writer, illustrator, and, yes, magician.
I’m an American journalist living in California. I’d like to contact Jason Cole. I’m an old friend of the late Max Pontifex whom Cole immortalized in his book, Max and me. I would be grateful for any information you might provide.

I’ll email him your request.
Hi Willy,
I’d be happy to hear from a friend of max as I was only a child when I met him. All that I know of him was based on tall tales told by my father at bedtime.
