The Caribbean Writer is actually a pretty cool collection – and I’m not just saying that because I (JCH) have been published in the annual anthology a couple of times (Country Club Kids and Tongue Twista in Volume 24, 2010; and Rhythms and Ah Write! in Volume 18, 2004) nor because they selected me as the 2011 recipient of the David Hough Literary Prize (though that was a nice surprise) – but because it is a repository of quality, contemporary Caribbean fiction. I’ve been introduced to so many talented writers through this collection, a reminder that Caribbean fiction is far from static. Check out my write up on Volume 25 in the Blogger on Books.
