Thanks to a new (or new to me) feature, I can see where in the world visitors to https://wadadlipen.wordpress.com are coming from. Surprisingly (to me), most aren’t based in Antigua or even the Caribbean In descending order (most to least) the top 10 are based in the USA, Anguilla, Antigua, Canada, United Kingdom, Philippines, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Barbados, and Guyana. That’s in the last month or so. During that same period, the most popular posts (not counting the home page) were the selected bibliography of West Indian literature, the Wadadli Pen 2012 Challenge page, my previous post on popular search terms, which I think had something to do with the word ‘banana’ being in the title, because inevitably this was followed by The Legend of Banana Boy by Chatrisse Beazer (one of the top stories in 2011 and the most-read among all winning stories going back to the start in 2004), competition guidelines, coverage of the Sidewalk Art Festival, the Tim Hector spotlight, the page showcasing our 2012 Challenge sponsors and partners ,and the about Wadadli Pen and blogger’s bio pages. Some were searching for Wadadli Pen specifically, but some bumped into us searching for information on West Indian literature and individual writers and/or their most famous works.
Good to know.
