This list of Caribbean Women Writers caught my eye while surfing recently. An Antiguan writer (Jamaica Kincaid), plus one of my favourite books by another Caribbean writer (The Farming of Bones) made the cut. Check it out.

This is great. I doubt I will get to any of them this year since I’m more focused in reading from countries along the equator but since I really do want to read more world lit I will come bake to this source again. Snhuge thanks for sharing.
Cool.
I love Edwidge Danticat. She is one of my favorite authors. I liked Farming of the Bones, Breath, Eyes, Memory, Brother, I’m Dying (taught this one in a class), & Create Dangerously. I read Annie John. Thanks for the list. I’m always looking for good women writers to read.
Don’t mention it…and yeah, I love Dandicat, too. Last read Create Dangerously. It was inspirational but my favourite is defintely Farming of Bones. Have a special relationship with Annie John. You should check out Kncaid’s Lucy, too. More recs in the Blogger on Books pages and Reading Room pages.
