Just a few shares…
An agent’s a good thing to have as you navigate the world of publishing. I love that I have someone to ask whenever I feel
confused or conflicted about an agreement…remember, don’t just sign because you’re eager to get published, stop and ask questions; if the person can’t be bothered to answer your questions that’s probably a sign. As for this list of available agents, which, no, does not include my agent, I’m not endorsing (or not endorsing), just sharing.
Also Kenyon Review’s short story comp will be accepting submissions throughout the month of February. No entry fee. 1200 words. Must not have yet published a book of fiction. Drats! Too late for me, but take your shot. And don’t forget to make your submissions to the 2013 Wadadli Pen Challege.
If you happen to be in the Philly area be sure to go out and support the first reading and book signing for For Women: In Tribute to Nina Simone. It’s Saturday, February 23 from 1:00 to 4:00PM, at The Dell Music Center located at Ridge Avenue & Huntingdon Drive in Philadelphia. I’m in it or rather my story Sexy Sadie is but alas unless a fairy godmother shows up with a ticket I won’t be there. Doesn’t mean you can’t support.
