Don’t normally share purely commercial activities here (this is an unfunded arts blog, after all) but given that it’s a showcase for spoken word artists, I figured I’d make an exception. It’s monthly by the way.

Just a reminder: The Cushion Club Reading Club for children (in Antigua and Barbuda) meets Saturdays between 10:30 a.m. and noon at the UWI Open Campus during the regular school year. There are no sessions during regular school holidays. All young readers and adult volunteers are welcomed. I found your blog, but haven’t been able to find contact info. Sorry if I have hijacked this post, but I wanted to get into out to your group.
In celebration of National Poetry Month in Canada (Apr) we are holding a contest. This is not a scam. We are a small book publisher that puts out 1 or 2 books a year by our local authors. We just make enough money to publish the next deserving author. This year we will not be doing a book, so our writer friends asked if we would run a contest like we did in 2008. So here we are.
I decided that I wanted to try and contact writers in all the English speaking areas of the world, hence this message to you. Hopefully you can pass along to others.
The contest details are on our website, . There are 3 categories. Free Verse, Traditional Verse, Haiku and 3 prizes in each category $50, $25 & $10 CAD.
    Thank you so much,
    Dave Allen
