I pulled this from the Daily Observer newspaper earlier in December with the intention of sharing it. Keondre Herbert is not a former Wadadli Pen kid though there was a post about his achievements coming out of primary school here on this platform but he was one of the first participants in the Jhohadli Summer Youth Writing Project that summer (summer 2013) – which is one of my projects. So, it all feels connected though all credit for his success goes to him and anyone in his circle who helped him to stay focused and strive. But because he is one o the young people I’ve had the opportunity to interact with, I am hit with a case of, they grow up so fast, don’t they?
Congratulations to him on his achievement – top performing CSEC student in the region, no small feat, and continued success as he moves forward.
