A & B Arts Round up – December 13th 2020 –>

The Round up is back! (Our listing of arts activities in and around Antigua and Barbuda has pretty much been on hold since our initial lockdown back in March 2020). We’re still under state of emergency with curfew but with activities (mostly virtual) landing in our (and my personal) inbox, we’ll be sharing them with you again as much as possible. Beginning with…

#CATAPULTDay, a day when all the efforts of the past months by artists across the Caribbean, those fortunate enough to be recipients of Caribbean Creative Arts Online grants via the Catapult programme, will be in the spotlight. The organizers (American Friends of Jamaica, Kingston Creative, and Fresh Milk Barbados) have been promoting the various outputs of the grant recipients – especially the salon activities – for several weeks going back to September-ish. But on December 14th 2020, it climaxes all day long across all social media with a special series of posts including posts spotlighting the three Antiguan and Barbudan grantees.

Capping #catapultday is a networking event which will be streamed on the Kingston Creative YouTube Channel #Caribbeanculturematters

Antiguans and Barbudans for Constitutional Reform and Education’s plans to officially hand over new steel orchestra to the students of Holy Trinity School, replacing instruments lost to hurricane Irma in 2017. Dubbed A Night in Barbuda, the event takes place December 21st 2020 6 – 7:30 p.m.
